Why is it whenever it rains for a couple of days straight, I get into my 'Stang and try to accelerate on the highway and it starts to bog down? Never does it on a warm dry sunny day, just when it is wet and miserable. I'm begining to believe my car hates the weather, wants to go back home, crawl under a car cover and go to sleep.

I have checked the intake. It happened before I put the CAI in, and after. It only seems to happen when it is real humid out for a couple of days, not just when it is raining.
It seems like moisture is getting into my fuel lines.

Did a tune up this summer, its due again here in a month for an oil change. No I dont have a tuner. I was told by a friend that it might be my O2 sensor. Got in it this morning, dry air dry night, no problems. Got up and went just like I love to. So I am still baffled a bit.

Eh if a car isn't tuned for a different grade of gas then the car will prefer regular 87 octane, unless otherwise you get some knock off gas brand.
But here in NY too some rainy days (read: humid) the car feels a bit sluggish. Then again now on these cold fall mornings the car seems much more alive, that's how much weather can affect all cars.
What CAI do you have? maybe try replacing it with another filter?

I've always had good luck with Sunoco.

I run 83 octane from shell, that is what the manual says. Last week I went to one of those discount gas places, I was real low, needed gas bad. I have a BBK CAI. I ran it this morning, cool dry air, boom!! Off like a light. No one chug, the only thing holding me back was my slow ass gear shifting.

I usually use Sunoco as well, especially since they are real cheap at one station. I think Ford actually recommends BP for the SN95, which I will use occasionally (station up the block from me), or Hess. I used to go to an Exxon station but they seem to have went the way of the Dinosaurs.
Discount gas can definitely cause problems in a lot of cars.

i never new there was actually a prefferd brand for our mustangs! thats cool ill most def note that. i do run 93 octane cause i have a 93 octane tune but before i actually got it tuned for that i ran it all the time and it seemed smooth. i figured higher octane was better for the car overall

I think BP is recommended for the S197 too. I thought I remember seeing it in a few places (owner's manual, around the gas cap).
Unless the car is tuned or the engine is knocking bad higher octane is just throwing money. The octane refers to the point at which the engine combusts. It's just easier to say "use 87 unless..."

Just a wild guess, but it may be that the saturated (moist) air being sucked through the intake tube is causing an uneven burn of the air/fuel mix in the cylinders. The computer may not be supplying enough fuel to compensate for the dense air. Thanks for your service, shipmate!
