Timing is off!!!!

I am having problem with my timing. I did a efi conversion in my 64 1/2 mustang and im trying to get my timing right. From the sound of it right now i can tell that the timing is off a little but can anyone show many articles or pics,etc on how to fix the timing.

you try using a timing light to fine tune it?

nah i havent tried a light, i do not have one. It almost seems like the dist. might be like a tooth off
