I found a 93 4 banger on craigslist for 800. obo. Pics are OK showing a Little surface rust and a few dents. No mileage listed says it needs a crank position sensor. Should I go for it? 5.0 conversion or a turbo? I'm not really looking but...

I have one of those that I daily drive that I am awaiting my 5.0 from another member so I can start making the swap.
Do you have a daily driver? If not, I say go for it. I was able to get 33 mpg out of mine driving from baton rouge to buffalo and back last year. Currently I really enjoy filling up about every other week instead of weekly with my cobra.
Also, if it is in good shape like you are saying, there is a good chance you could always flip it real quick for about 1500 or so as a project car.

I do have a daily driver a gas guzzling 96 Suburban lol. Winter is almost here and I like the 4X4 for the bad days but averaging about 14 mpg's gets old fast. I may try the flip in the spring but I'm sure I'll get attached and want to keep it...

it all depends on if the body and such is sound, its amazing how quickly costs rise if you try to do a real good ground up restoration/motor swap. If you just want a junky car to drag race then whats some rust?
