making a battery tie-down?

so i'm heading down to ocala, florida for a drift competition in the middle of october.

and i need to know how to make a METAL battery tie-down to pass tech inspection.

any input?

Go to Autozone they have em for like $10 bucks.

What's the rules require and where are you putting it?

I know NHRA (drag racing) requires 3/8" bolts thru the floor if trunk mounted (not to mention either a sealed firewall between the trunk and pass compartment or a sealed boxin the trunk) and stock hold downs if it's located in the stock position.

drift just requires metal battery tiedowns. nothing too specific

Just goto Home Depot and pick up a metal bar. I have a pic attached and if you look in the center of my batter, that is a legal battery tie down. That's what came stock on my car and it is legal in all events. You can see the little bolts coming up from the battery tray to hold the battery down. Easy enough

turns out where i went they made that an exception for domestics cuz most of them are secured w/o needing an over-tie.
