keyless entry quit working

does any one know witch fuse is for the keyless entry or where in the trunk the reciver is mounted. here what has happened went out in the rain and hit the panic button by accident. horn starts going off and wouldnt stop until i started the car. after that it hasnt worked. yes i changed the battery in the remote. thanks for your help |

I think there is some kind of catch in the factory system if you start the car while the panic alarm is going off...really dunno man.

talk to your Ford dealer, you may need some code reset in your ECU.

The EEC really doesn't have anything to do with keyless on 94-04 mustangs.
98+ have the keyless entry in the GEM under the dash on the drivers side.
94-97 have it in the truck on the drivers side.
I'm not really sure either.

my buddy transferred an engine from a Mustang, to a Mustang, and it tripped the theft system, car wouldn't do a damn thing...... so, when you're talking about hitting a panic button, and then starting a car (like someone stole your car from you... and before they got your keys, you hit the panic button)....... see now where it might trip a code?

you can reset it, ive never had any luck but the dealership probably can reset it.
