Car problems continue,Speedo' problem

alright so i just got home and i noticed id hit 40mph and even if im on the brakes the needle would jump to 45 like there was something wrong with it because it kinda just bounced not go up as if was accelorating.I though maybe i hit a bump while braking and it'd be fine.So i figured only 1 way to find out and tested it a 2nd 3rd and 4th time..same exact thing happened when i hit 40mph wether i was on the brakes or not..anybody have any idea ?

Didn't you recently install aftermarket gauges?

nope stock guages

well the first step would be pulling the clear cover and checking the needle, make sure its not to close to the gauges, if it is it can get stuck and do wonderful things. I doubt this... and if you pull that needle off.... you will have to drive down the road and stick it back on so just pull it out very gently to give it a little room between it and the gauge face.

Now check the VSS sensor located on the tranny. Make sure its in good and what not. After this.... check the line and then you will need to go furhter into the electrical system.
