So I ordered a set of new wires, I noticed the old ones are routed around the back of the engine, any issues with running across the front of the intake manifold instead? Probably use some nice seperaters and make it clean, I would think they would stay cooler up there also.

You can technically run them wherever you'd like - heat doesn't affect them much.. They're routed that way for a reason.. If you do change it around, just be sure you don't mix up which goes where and be wary of any contact points where the wire could rub through..
