does anyone know if there's an electronic boost controller out there that will go with the street turbo kit that andy makes? i don't want to switch out springs, i'd rather have the control in my hands with a boost controller.

you can also look into a Hallman manual boost controller. They have something called an in-cockpit controller. You can adjust the boost from inside the car at your control via a wire connected to the controller.

You can get out of the car and turn the screw for the cost of a screwdriver.

^ yea that would look cool having me get out at the stop light, pop my hood and use the screwdriver before i race the guy in the lane next to me... "Ok game on, i can race you now" lol.
i have no idea of how to make my own boost controller. Even if i could i wouldn't trust it. but 50$ sure sounds better then 140$ so maybe i'll look in to that.

Im questioning, why would you want high/low boost? ive been running 18psi in my car since i put my controller in it, and havnt touched it, the only people that usually need to turn the boost down are idiots who really dont know how to drive
"i need to turn my boost down so i dont lose traction at a light"
thats when you be easy on the gas pedal

because my car is my dd and i have a 35 mile round trip to school everyday so unlike other idiots i want to take care of my car so i don't break ****. I don't need a ton of boost going to school but maybe on the weekends i'll want to have some fun and turn it up. I never said i wanted to turn down the boost each time i get to the light. I was just giving a scenario.
nothing wrong with being careful and making it last.

there are plenty of evo guys who only run about 17psi when they just want to cruise to work or whatnot and then bump it to 22psi when they know they are going to get on it.
They also make dual stage manual boost controllers for around $150ish. You can set two stages and then run the low one on daily driving and the high one when you wanna get on it.
@dom -- welcome to my hood????

when you guys are saying 17 or 18 psi is that 17 psi on top of the natural 14.7 psi? assuming that you're at sea level. that all sounds like a ton of boost to me. I didn't think anyone used that much except for at the track.

well 1atm = 14.7psi. However when you talk about boost (turbo or supercharger) you eliminate the 1atm. So basically, you're talking about how many pounds of boost you're boosting over stock n/a intake.
It depends on the car, block, bottom end, etc. on how much you can run. With your v6, I wouldn't run more 7psi. My car came stock running 19psi, so when I bumped it up, I now run 22psi.

Dejon tool Dual Stage MBC. you can set a low amount of boost for say, daily driving and launching(helps traction), then when you hit 2nd flick the switch and hit your high boost.
i used that on my gst. launched/daily with 10psi off the line, hit 2nd, and at around 5k i went to high of 20psi. kinda made my car sound like it had vtec(lots of honduh kids asked if i had mivec, lol). you can go from low to high during a run, meaning that you could be hitting 10psi and just flick it and instantly spool up to 20 without having to depress the gas or anything. i loved mine.
plus its nice for daily driving. sometimes you like to get on the freeway at a nice pace, and not go balls to the wall(20psi for me was scary fast). and having a lower boost level is nice, cause its more predictible power if youre cruising through traffic or such. hard to explain, but youll see if you ever have alot of boost.

I honestly don't think when I get my kit that I will ever turn it down!
