I was driving home from my girl friend's place when I noticed the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. What the hell could be wrong? I'm going to check the oil in a second, hopefully that's it.. but it just got it's oil changed X_X
Keep in mind I've got a true dual exhaust with a CAI if that helps.

It could be anything. Usually comes on from a sensor reading out of range for a specified amount of time or driving cycles.
As Gary said, get it read.

go get the codes checked for free at autozone, mine came on a long time back, it was a little sensor, then a week later again for another sensor, just as my friend at ford told me it would... its probably something like that that takes 10 min to fix.

I called them up, they said they don't do that. They said "AAMCO does it"
So I checked with them.. but they were only open from 8AM-12PM on Saturday. Okay honestly, wtf? Yeah great time frame there.

advanced auto parts read mine for free. there is no catch.
Mine was the EGR valve. It could be the o2 sensor, could be anything.
I would say tighten the gas cap, but I doubt that's it if you were just coming home from ur girls house.

Autozone does it here for free. I used to just walk in, reach behind the counter and grab the reader, go turn my code off and leave lol. I was in there alot...

Ok it's fixed and ****. Here's the low-down.
My mechanic got the code and it said the PO401 (low EGR flow) stored in memory. Check scan data and found sensor was dead. Replaced sensore and rechecked data, clear codes. Pressure Feedback Exhaust Sensor..
Get any of that? ****ing Ford and their sensor bull****.
