3.73's installed ( need speedometer help )

I just installed an 8.8 rearend with 3.73 gears in my car today. I was wanting to know what color/#tooth trans gear do I need to correct my speedometer. I had 2.73's.

For the v6 manual I think its the 21 tooth white gear. This is if its the 7 tooth drive gear for the 94-98 v6's.

The 94-98 v8's (GT's) are 8 tooth drive gears and it would a 23 tooth, not sure on color.

I used the white gear in my 97 with 4:10's speedo still off but better.

Jegs has one that's black 23 tooth but it's doesn't give a particular gear. It shows it used for 3.55,3.73, & 4.10. I guess this one will get me closer than the 2.73 gear I have know.

no tooth gear will correct your speed issue, get a speed cal unit and leave the speedo gear alone. This will allow you to calibrate it.
