GT 4.6 Engine Transfer

I have a stock 97 Mustang GT w/ 4.6L V8 (Single-Cam)- I am in need of a new engine, Can someone please tell me if I can transfer a 94 Lincoln Mark IV 4.6 V8 (Quad-Cam) Engine into my Pony.

so basically a 96-98 cobra motor? I dont see why not...

It will just be quite packed in there with those huge heads

yes you can. if youre asking if it uses the same motor mounts, i believe it does. you will need a 96-98 cobra ecu though. this swap is done a few times to the 94-97 tbirds, i know with them you need the cobra ecu, and cobra flexplate(since most doing the swap are going from the 4.6sohc+auto to 4.6dohc+auto). sad part, is most of them will put the 4v motor in, bunch of boltons, tranny with jmod and gears, and still run low 15's.

The Lincoln Mark VIII engine is detuned to I think 285 hp to help save the automatic transmission. A Superchip or something similar to bring back some of that horsepower might help.
