6 disc player

For some reason, my cd player says that there is no cd's in the disc, and everytime that I try and play one it says "CD ERROR" is there any way that I can do something without taking it in?

i went through the same ****... those 6disc players were recalled!!! go get a new one for free.. thats what i did- works fine now; before it jammed and said error all the time

what year is your car? Is the recall for a limited time??

There have been alot of problems with those cd players...never had a problem with mine however...I dunno, it was just certain ones that decided to mess up.

is it the mach460 or mach1000 ? i hear people having problems w/ the mach460 system a lot.

my sister had the same problem...hers was replaced i believe twice before it was fixed

no shit, theres a recall on the 6disc changer(mach 460/1000)?

mine used to give me a bunch of errors, but then it stopped. if you were listening to the cd and skipped to the next track, it would load up disc 5. even if you were on disc5 it would reload it and start over. it also would get jammed when it was ejecting cd's, and id use a credit card to push down on the cd as it tried to poke out to bring it out, almost as if the cd gets stuck on a very small lip in the opening.

but out of the blue it just stopped fucking up, and its been fine for a good 2-3 months now.
