I'd say I work out...but y'all have seen me....
My workout consists of bowling, mowing the lawn, remodeling, and detailing the car. Would like to work out more...maybe I will get the ambition soon. I just don't want to get all big and such...just tone up.

I am going to start working out here again soon myself, but I will do it the old fashioned way, aue naturale, I never really say the need for that kind of stuff. I bulk up just fine without it.

My thoughts exactly. I have never worked out in my life...just stacked 80 pound bags of salt and bowled. Figured that was good enough. lol I don't want to bulk up either...I want to be able to wipe my own ass....so I need to take it easy.

don't take creatine whatever you do. i could write an essay on how that shiz is bad for your body, especially when you stop working out all of a sudden.....but i'm tired as hell so i won't. anyways a kid i know is a body builder and trainer. he has a strict diet and doesn't use any extra supplements. i lift quit a bit but i also run and do everything else to keep a good balance. getting your heart rate up a half hour a day helps a ton.
natural is the best way.

I have not seen anything that shows if you take creatine as directed, 5g 4 times per day for one week and then once a day after that you will have any complications. I am well aware as to what it will do to you however if you overdose on it.

everyone i know used or use creatine. some stopped because they say its bad for you but i know a lot who still use it. either way it has results. but i suggest just eating food thats right for you and assists in building muscle mass.

Drink plenty of fluid while taking creatine. Although it has not been proven, dehydration, heat-related illnesses, muscle cramps, reduced blood volume, and electrolyte imbalances are expected to be more likely to occur while taking creatine.
Creatine has not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or purity. All potential risks and/or advantages of creatine may not be known. Additionally, there are no regulated manufacturing standards in place for these compounds. There have been instances where herbal/health supplements have been sold which were contaminated with toxic metals or other drugs. Herbal/health supplements should be purchased from a reliable source to minimize the risk of contamination

I don't work out anymore...manual labor takes care of that for me. I may not can bench 250....but I can dead lift several bags of sand or shingles and carry them around lol. Do construction work for a few years, it'll buff ya up.

i usually get strawberry which i dont mind, the shakes are kinda of grainy tasting but much better than most other protein/weight gainer shakes ive had, and the serving size is huge so just break up the amount you have over the course of the day. i believe there is like chocolate flavors and stuff but ive only tried strawberry.

I take a complete daily vitamin... but no "supplements" They're bad for you... my buddy and I worked out for a total of 2 hours last night. 1.5 hours of lifting, and 1/2 hour of exercise bikes.

Just an update:
I went out and bought Weight Gainer 2200 from GNC and I got to admit I didnt think I was going to like it but this stuff actually tastes good. I got the strawberry kind.
I do feel a lot better after drinking it. It has Protein, Creatine and all the other good amino acids and such that you need.
I mix one scoop full of the mix with 11oz of 2% milk and use a blender and it works out good.
That is about 800 calories.
So if you want to put on a few pounds and build some extra muscle mass then this is the stuff for you

I use to know someone that did cage fights (RITC), he and I used to work out (him abit more than me lol). Jan 18th will be the 3 yr anny of the car wreck I was in ( http://www.pengi.org/car/) after 10 months phy. therapy and loads of money later, I was 80% fixed up, in 1.5week Im going to another dr to see what he has to say. The back issues (throastic/lumber and cervical) I cant work out as much as I would like to, guess Im lucky with a high metabolism, I tried wt. gainer, didnt work. I will be happy again when I can work out though, since Im getting 'older', but I still lie and tell everyone Im 21.

I'm at about the same spot you are. Was in a wreck march of 03. Did alot of damage. Can't run anymore b/c of it, so I'm stuck with low impact exercises. Kinda annoying. My main problem is my hip pops out of place...that's quite annoying when walking somewhere. So my problem here lately is...I can't make myself get off my lazy butt after work/school all day and go work out lol.

I started working out 2 months ago and here are the results so far
Started out benching 100lb even
I am now at 150lbs
I can do 6 6 6 3 3 3 at 140lbs
I started curling at 15lbs and now can do 25 easy, about to go buy me a 30.
So far I am pretty happy
This is on a pully system so I am sure it will be about 10-20ilbs less with a bar.....

I dont know what the things I can do (on a e. machine) are called, you know, just a girl here *twirls hair* But its the thing that you lift when sitting down and there are the bars above/behind your shoulder area......that seems to help out since the wreck.
The first dr told me that I could have my issues fixed easiely, so he Rx'd me a bunch of vicodin/skellaxin & cellebrex (lovely when your trying to work a 10 hour overnight shift and tend to your infant during the day).
I managed to keep my figure after my son (fairly thin since school, went up to to about 170lbs. when pregnant, and since I skated alot with my baggy clothes, even my next door neighbor couldnt tell hehe), weight went back down the same day I had him, and since the wreck, alot of things are a real pain to try and do.
Today for example, I wasnt away if our trash people would take the old couch (torn from cats) or not, so I told him (while its down pour rain in SC of course) if I can get it to the door, will they help me get it to the curb (and yes, WhiteStang99 if your reading, I used that loving girl soc. eng. power at this point), with hair amess, and all rained from the weather, ran up the road to haul down the trashmen and tell them my 'sob story', well they did, the bad part of all this. Me having fun, kicking this (what I call) ugly couch out the front door, sideways and kicked off the porch into the rain/leaves/sidewalk, but the good part.........I got to watch it go:
CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH in the trashtruck.
So I need to start working out again, we have a spare room I would love to make into a exercise room, but the fiance said no and wants a guest room, so that means hes gotta get me a membership somewheres, and go beat up the guys (and maybe girls) that will gauk at me. :X
Skating was good for me, too bad I cant skate here. lowflyn the hip thing is quite aggitating I know, I got that from my son I went to a chiro awhile back and he said Im lucky to be alive and that my pelvic bone was on an angle (Im wondering now why the dr I paid 10k to, didnt notice this, or maybe it just got worse over time??) anyways, I will hope to be in better shape in two weeks after seeing yet another dr. Drs suck :X

You had a shitty doctor if he didn't check your pelvic tilt... wow. Especially if he didn't realize it and another doctor says it could have been life-threatening.
Kids are worth all the pain though. Easy for me to say, hahahahahahahaha.
Brent, I don't mess w/ supplements. Never helped me. In High School when I played ball I was drinking 2 weight gainer shakes a day, 3 protein shakes, eating 4 hard boiled eggs for breakfast, and eating 3 peanut butter sandwiches immediately before I went to sleep. Never helped me much at all.

Awww WS..........WS.........
Im pretty sure he checked it, maybe it is possible its something that happened more over time, who knows? Not me, not til the 19th atleast anyways. I had my son March 02, had the car wreck Jan 03. I only went to the 2nd Dr. once, so I really dont know too much about him, the first I spent almost a year with. Yes kids are worth the pain, it was interesting learning to change my sons diaper @ 11 months w/my left hand. And yes, its quite easy for you to say, but I wont talk about your easy words anymore. *pokes you in the eye with a nut shell* We are getting along remember, hehe.
On a sidenote, I wish I hadnt settled my case so early (its about 2 years or something for the stature), and looking back its funny we were hit by an illegal mexican, with legal insurance.

i've been working out pretty regularly ever since high school, it's just something that i've always enjoyed doing. as far as supplements, i basically just take protein shakes and i cycle on and off with creatine. by the way, creatine does work (for me anyways). i really don't do the loading phase anymore though because i'm afraid it puts too much strain on the kidneys. i just kinda go easy on it. i've always heard that it's best to take it with grape juice.
for all you fatties that are wanting to lose weight, the best thing to do is try not to consume more calories than you burn each day and do lots of cardio and include weight training because the more muscle you have, the more fat you burn. and try to eat small meals throught the day instead of 2-3 big meals as that speeds up your metablolism. as far as protein consumption goes, the rule of thumb is too eat 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight, which is kinda hard to do because i weigh about 178.
this is probably too much for one post so that's my two cents for now!
