Cam differences...just a thought

I was wondering what the difference is between an '86/'87 5.0 H.O. cam and a '96 Explorer V-8 cam.Is there a difference?Thanks.

i believe its toned down and perhaps set up more for tq and not hp... who knows but im sure they are different.

do not use the explorer cam unless you want a willowing torque monster.

the ford spec cams generally are not the best for aftermarket applications, they are good but there are far better cams out there. The over used E303 is a great example of something that is overused when there are better items to be had.
