Hello all,
Need help. Just installed lower Cobra intake on my 1986 GT but having trouble with upper intake. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am not sure why the deletion of some of the rubber lines, between the old intake and new intake.
Do I cap some off? for example the rear coolant rubber line for the TB. No where to attach with the new upper intake. The new upper intake will nto accept the space from the stock one.

I'm assuming the upper intake is also a cobra intake? ... you aren't carb'd, right?

what year cobra intake?

and what kind of throttle body? a stock throttle body and many aftermarket ones also have coolant passages as well.. though there are some aftermarket TB's that do not lower intake has fuel injection passages and that's pretty much it.. If its the coolant lines that run to the TB.. it's best to bypass them anyhow.. hot TB = bad for maximum performance..

What year intakes? I can go take a picture of my bay if youd like... its a 94 though...

you can just block off the coolant line that runs to the throttle body, ford used to to just give a "consistant" temp at the throttle body, which on some days, its nice, and other days, it robs you of a little bit of power

as for deleting all the rubber hoses, you have to remember that 86 is the first year for the 5.0 with full EFI, and Ford didnt have it very well refined, so over the years, things changed. The cobra intake you have is modeled after the 93, where as your stock one is the first year, so there will be some differences
