My current tires are toast.
I have money to get rims + tires..but am hoping to spend the least amt of money possible..of course.
I know buying tires for these is horrid but..they're 18x9.5 '00 cobra r's
I don't parallel park much..and am not that worried about curb rash, but i don't want to screw up my new wheels either.
Anybody used this site?...or these tires?
It says these Pirelli Pzero Nero MS tires have treadwear of 400
http://www.edgeracing.com/tire/1277/
Anyone heard of Aurora tires...H107's here with treadwear of 320
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT
Kuhmo Ecsta ASX?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT
Falkens?
i'm open to suggestions..thanks

i was looking at the same wheels, and i was told that a 265/35/18 would work fine, Check out some BFgoodrich G force sports, there about $150 each

Falkens are nice tires, but if you go with them... make sure you get wider than you need. They run small.

265/35/18's are the right size for your car. You still risk a bit of curb rash but... thats a risk you will have to take. I never park close and always try to watch out for curbs... and ive still ran into issues so no matter how careful you are its a matter of time.
I would buy yokahoma avs es100s if they make them. they are a good tire and they run a bit wide. dont skimp on tires... save up more or do something... dont skimp on em

265/35s are NOT the right size... i found that out by buying them for 9" rims. Go with at least 275/35 if not 285s. Im running 285/35/18s on my front 18x9s and everythings completely flush with the rim

speaking in math terms a 265 as mentioned above is the right size... but it wont be enough to protect those rims... the yokahomas as I have in a 275 protect 9 wide rims fine... but you will need more... at least 285~

reading the reviews, those BFG sports seem like good tires..even if they are nice and cheap

i would sell u my 00 R's w/ tires but i believe you're kinda far.. i run 275/35 in front and 285/35 in the rear.. perelli's in da back and bfs in the front.. also remember you can buy used tires and still have them very well treaded.. (just on on luck) i bought my perellis for 100 even used but verryyy well treaded.. and i agree with spector.. 285s totally protect the rim.. even the 275's leave the rim kinda bare..

as long as your alignments good, you dont really need to rotate them. I havnt had problems running two different tire sizes. If I had the same size rim all around however, id defanitely run the same size

rotation is always a good idea due to nearly all mustangs wear the inside on the front tires. If you keep a really good alignment you may can get by with it... but the tires will last longer if they are rotated often. I can get 40k+ out of a set of tires.

Are you lookin for anything inparticular with these tires? Traction, performance wet/dry, long lasting? For the strip I recommend Nitto 555's cause I'm told they grip really well. As far as performance goes, the BFG KDW are a very good dry performance tire. And the BFG KDWS are pretty good in the wet and have a good treadware, i think its around 400
