I have a 99 V6 mustang 5-speed, and I noticed for the past 2 days I have had no backup lights at all. I checked the bulbs and the fuse panel and nothing is blown out. I was wondering if the problem might be the backup light switch and if anybody knows what might be wrong please post. If the prolem is the backup lights does anybody know how to replace the switch. Thanks.

what i would do is check out all your other lights. make sure that when you back up that there aren't any signal indicators or other lights turning on. the current may be directed a different route and it has to go somewhere so it's possible for it to travel to another light.
I would re check the bulb and the fuse again cuz it can't hurt. pull the bulb out and look at the filaments (metal terminal thingies) and make sure they're clean and not broken.
Vibration from a large sound system can be the cause of little wiring problems.
Look for corroded wires.
check every connection and ground.
and again test all the other electronics in your car to see if they're affected.

I believe there is a module of some kind, my brothers 99 v6 went out too, just had to replace that, but I am not sure how it was done or what was needed
i had this problem about a year ago...if you've checked the bulbs and fuses, i say it is the switch. I went to autozone and bought a new one, then had a guy i know install it. good luck.
