Pi$$ed off some guy at the track today

There was a lightning racing there.. car dealer tag still on it.. temp tag in the window
He was bragging to a whole bunch of people about how fast his truck was for stock..
me: " Hey, nice truck man!"
him "thanks, I love it"
me: "I'm surprised someone actually bought that thing, they must have cleaned the rubber out of the fender wells"
him: "this was yours?"
me: "no but I took that thing on about an hour test drive.. went through a whole tank of gas, a set of tires, and the salesman I was with did a whole bunch of 360s.. it was awesome, nice truck man - I was gonna buy it but they were asking too much, wouldn't budge on price, they were asking a shitload! and refused to replace the tires"
then I walked away.. he called after me a few times but I kept walking lol

and? good for him.. I have a 92 rustang with a 331, a CLEAN car at that.. not a beater with a good motor.. a Buick Regal GS that is like 1 tenth away from running 13s.. on a stock pulley - what does your car run? wanna race? I've had many cars in the past including a grand national and a 70 skylark GS 350 4 barrel.. I'm supposed to be jealous over a lightning? get over yourself..
Chances are if he's racing the truck with the TEMP TAG in it he wouldn't give a shit anyway

and just an FYI I did road test that truck back in august, after my '02 was wrecked - it ran good but they really wouldn't budge on price, they wanted $25k for it - even after we said we had no trade in.. and would be paying cash (did not make an offer though)
That's more than even blue book suggested retail.. for an '02 with 50k miles? no thanks..
I didn't beat on it during the test drive, but we all know used performance-oriented cars are beat to crap and back 9 out of 10 times

you shouldnt buy used anything over 300hp, cause of the fact someone bought it JUST to beat on it. if not, they wouldve bought a civic or something.

This reminds me of the tard who was walking around a car show I was working security at. He would make sure he was next to the owner ands make rude comments about Cobra's and Lightnings. Several owners asked him what he was commenting on and then would dog the cobra's and Lightrnings saying his Z-28 would wax them. Funny thing is he never brought the Z-28 up to the show

Some of those people can be decieving....this old guy pulled up in a C6 yesterday at the autox. Went and signed in, threw on a helmet, and put a few of the locals to shame.

No its not something I normally do, and I'm not the kind of guy to put cars down at a track.. I don't even pick on ricers when I'm there. I basically just told him it was a nice truck, and I enjoyed my test drive
