i'm doing the front suspension right now and had to remove the banjo bolt since i couldn't get the caliper bolts.
Just hoping someone could do an easy run through on how i go about bleeding the breaks.... and that greenish oily liquid is most likely the break fluid, right?
thanks.

simple, have a frien pump the breaks. then have him step on the brake all the way and keep it there. then open the bleeded screw you will see it errupts. tighten it. then have him pump again and hold it and open the bleeded screw again, then close the bleeder screw, as long as the brake is pressed down no air will get in. keep doing it till you get a nice flow with out any erruptions. remember to always start on the wheel farthest away from the master cylinder.

and make sure you never let the MC run out of fluid. you can also buy a bleeder for like $10 at an auto parts store that sucks the fluid out of the bleed screw.

true, never ever let the master cylinder run out of fluid because you will have tio start all over if it does, and the bleeder you can buy is a good investment you can do the work by your self without the help ofa friend pumping the brakes.

so on the other side of that 16 mm "banjo" bolt is the bleeder screw? the bolt has a funny little nozzle on it... and when i have someone pump the breaks, i put my thumb over the nozzle when they let off the break? or am i suppose to let the fluid leak out? i'm so tired i can't think right now...
i'll probably be able to understand better in the morning after i'm rested.
thanks

get a friend to pump the brake and hold it down then you use a wrench (not a socket and ratched) to open the bleeder valve and then close it right back after a sec or so. do that until you dont see any air just pure fluid. After that do it a couple more times to be safe. You can use a rubber vacume hose to guide the fluid to a pan... but just expect it to get on you.
Make SURE you DO NOT over tighten the bolts and make sure to turn them the right way... if you screw up a bleeder valve you will have to replace it, same goes for brake line banjo bolts.
