I'm new to the Mustang community. Just purchased an 03 GT w/ only 12,500 miles on it. It's the manual tranny, and everything is stock.
The factory warranty runs out in Feb. So are there any know issues i need to look out for??? I've looked for a TSB list but couldn't find one.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome. The only real issue I know of is make sure your seat belt retractors work right. And if you have the 460, make sure your cd player is functioning correctly, there was a recall on those.

Radio. Alright, thanks.
It seems like the tranny makes noise every once in a while too. I noticed when accelerating after coastin it maks a clunking noise.

Well..anything like that, carry it by the ford place and have them fix it. It's under warranty, take advantage of that.

nothing off hand thats wrong with it. Keep all the fluids changed when needed and it should be a good car (that includes coolant, power steering, brakes, rear end lube etc)

The T3650 tranny tends to have issues with the syncros in the 1-2 shift. It's most noticable when the car is cold. There is a TSB out there about it.

Any clunking when coasting then accel then coasting is standard operation. There is drive line slack and that is what causes the clunking. Even the 03/04 cobras have that wonderful feature. There is no fix for it beyond doing your own drive train build.

aluminum driveshafts make more noise than the stock setups... this maybe why cobra owners notice it more.
