I run Motorcraft copper.
You have to change them more often but their performance is better & cost a lot less than Platinums.

The Ford Dealer told us that alot of people have problems with the Bosch plugs, I`m just wondering if they are just blowing more smoke.

I`ve been reading the forums and found most people dislike the Bosch plugs, except for a few..... I will go with the majority, Autolites or MotorCraft............

I know mine sure doesn't.....lol. I think he's talking about the spark temperature not being consistant with that certain plug. I run autolites in my car, never had a problem other than regapping when it gets cold/ hot

LOL too, thanks for the input............ I a`m going to switch to Autolites, or motorcrafts, the engine is detecting a misfire once in awhile and is most likely due to the plugs. Bosch Platniums. We had just put the plugs in and the original MotorCrafts didnt do that. THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT..........

The stockers are just fine, I've heard of problems with Bosch, Autolite, ACDelco, Champion, etc. but not Motorcraft.

No but if the heat range of the plug is higher than normal it can cause pinging.
With advanced timing I actually run 1 heat range cooler plugs.

A simple copper or a good hybrid plug like an Autolite Platinum.
I'd say anything OTHER than a Bosch Platinum. I tried running them in my '98, and the electrodes burned up into the ceramic in 6,000 miles.
I learned, on another site, that oddly enough, half of the cylinders (drivers side) fire their plugs from the electrode to ground(normal), and the other half (passenger side) from ground to the center electrode(reversed). It has to do with the way the coil pack fires.
This (reverse polarity) also seems to cause Bosch Platinums to burn up faster.
