tv cable or cruise control ???

i just bought a 99 mustang here in town and im tryin to figure out what the guy i bought if frow was doing to it. i took in in for an oil change and a guy told me my " kick down cable " was snapped. so i went to ford and they said its the cruise cable. ive heard both sides over and over but the part thats getting me is that he switched the stearing wheel and now all the controls are not in side like a regular mustang, but one the side. also my gears are shifting funny, if i punch the gas, it sometimes wont down shift till i let off a bit. any advice ????

It's the cruise control cable.

We don't have a " kick down cable "

If he changed gears and did not compensate in the EEC the trans will shift weird.

Eh, you don't need cruise. I have 69k miles and have never had cruise.

What does a kickdown cable do?

Tells the tranny the accelerator is mashed and to downshift?

I also have never had cruise control, but it does suck on LONG ass trips.
