isn't that basically the same thing as the "silencer" that comes with the factory filter set up?
I only hear the whistle at low RPM's and maybe on the freeway but my exhaust usually drones it out.

Where exactly does it go? If the only point is to make the whistle go away then yea... pretty pointless.

It appears to wrap around the airfilter.

When I saw this thread that is basically the device I thought of. The fender well is smallest right above the wheel and that would be the best place to stuff a piece of foam.

yeah, i like my intake, sometimes it has a really high pitched whistle when it shifts and sounds like a BOV haha...but one thing i DONT like is how sometimes it rattles....i have tightened everything and it still rattles....im just gonna go thru and put it foam wherever my cai contacts metal lol

I created the product because I did not like the high pitch whistling that the throttle plate produces at low and medium throttle positions. Some people think it's great (I do) and some think it's stupid. That's fine. I personally dont mind the whistle that I once had. The reason for the whistle is the restriction of the T/B. With my mods it does not whistle anymore or I just cant hear it over the engine growl

Is that was caused it? that makes sense to me now, my whistle went away after i put one an upper plenum and TB.
