Aside from the obvious a V8 , dual exhaust, bigger wheels and Mach 400 Stereo, what else is missing when compared to a GT coupe? I just found the standard v6 has no rear sway bar.

GT has a bigger front sway bar, an H pipe vs our v6 Y pipe, dual exhaust of course, 2more cylinders, 17" wheels with 245-45-17 goodyears,150mph speedo vs our 120,ti3650 transmission(5spd) vs the v6 which is either a t-5 or t-45, an 8.8 rear end,i believe the suspension is the same except for the swaybar, diff. ecu. The v6 and v8 can come with the mach-460 or mach-1000..just depends on what options you get through the factory or dealer

I have a 2001 v6, can you adapt a sway bar from a 01 GT? Or just buy one from a kit?

One from a 01 GT would work perfect for you. I have one from a bullitt mustang.

you can do ether. but you will need the bolts and nuts to hold it on. or you can buy some 10.9 grade metric bolts or some grade 8(standard) bolts.

Yeh, I bought the bolt kit from ford, it was right around 40 bucks for the 4 nuts and bolts, but worth it to me for the original parts, made the install a snap.

the 99 up gt rear sway bars are stiffer than the 94-98 so make sure to get a 99 up gt one.
the brake pads are different, not the struts/shocks.
