are there any real risks with dyno tuning the 11psi kit fro procharger. with the whole kit from justin with a SCT maf and not the maf xtender? just wondering about the risks and how about going with getting it dyno tuned safely. its not a stock car so this is why it concerns me. i have a blower cam and BV heads from rpm. the lift on the cam is 535/531 and the duration is 209/212. any suggestions or precations or even some positive support would be appreciated. i'm just worried about thowing 11 psi at the motor.

Dyno tuning with a knowledgable person doing it will be no problem.
You will be fine, and by todays specs your cam is not that big.
With a good tune 11 psi will be no problem.
I see you are from Wisconsin. Where are you getting tuned?

If your tuner is worth anything, it will be safe to tune on the dyno. He will be able to get things dialed in without blowing things up. I would just be sure to tell him everything that was done and all the specs on your car...he should be able to get safe close and dial in a few pulls.
As for the MAF, depending on the deal with the MAF, you shouldn't need the extender. I know the SCT MAF upgrade for the cobra does not require and extender as it is its own extender.

well if you got the 2800 SCT MAF you should be fine. also with a blower and heads. i know a bigger cam would have served you better.
also did you port the intakes too?

i'm getting my tune form xtreme performance in Greenville wisconsin. i'm getting the BA2800 from justin and i could have gone bigger with the cam but when i told mik i was going boosted he said this cam would do pretty good with extra power. my idle is pretty lopy with the amount of lift now. my intakes aren't ported but they eventually will be.

i'm shooting for around 320-340 rwhp range. i also have a free flowing exhaust with an o/r h-pipe and magna packs to add to the mix.

yea for some reason mikeal spec's small cams. i bet that thing will peak by 5400rpm.
also the lift does not effect idle. the duration and lobe sep does. and the better the cam is N/A the better it will perform with boost.
also you should reach your current goals. good luck with it. i hope you do.

anytime you mod you risk having problems, you just have to work as hard as you can to minimize the risk and expect the unexpected.

Go around to all the local performance shops or race tracks and see who they recommend the most for dynotuning. With cars you get what you pay for, so the best one may be more expensive, but probably worth it in the long run.
