im not sure what kind, but i was wondering if anyone knew where a good website for aftermarket cruise controls for a 99 mustang ( 3.8 v6 ) could be found. if possible with pics cause i bought the car with this cruise set up on it and i have no idea what its called or what it is. the part that broke off is a string of beads ( someone told me mustangs use to carry these ? ) and at the end is like a metal wire and thats what broke off. any help is deeply appriciated.

I thought you were asking for a performance Cruise Control at first. LOL

Try CJponyparts.com or 50resto.com, mustangsunlimited.com, jegs.

you can buy kits but its a major hassel. You may can find the oem set of controls for cheap at a junk yard, but you will still have alot of crap to run and do. Its a pretty complex task.

A few years ago Ford had a recall on cruise controls. Not sure if it affected your year
Try here http://jcw.webepc.com/servlets/WebEP...&storeId=10101 If the links work go to replacement parts

Some of the aftermarket stuff I have seen looks like junk. I would just get a cruise steering wheel and the speed control servo and install them.
