code P1127??

anyone can tell me about this code? car runs GREAT until outside air temp. is about 70 degrees or above??? car then loses power if you stop and let it cool down it will run GREAT again for a while the the same thing again????? Help if the outside air is below 70 degrees car runs FINE thanks for your help

If that is the "only" code you are getting, it is most likely going to be your bank one oxygen sensor. Your not getting a heater circuit code, so I wouldnt suspect wiring, and your not getting a code for the other bank, so I wouldnt suspect a maf problem or a fuel pressure problem.

Without diagnostics, its a guess, but I would replace the bank one oxygen sensor (the side where cylinders 1,2,3 are on a v6, 1,2,3,4 on a v8.

different than the place I looked the code up at. If I was at work I would just check the actual ford manual.

Now that you mention it though, that does sound right for this code. Only thing is, that really wouldn't be a fault code because you would be getting that during the key on, engine running test, and the computer is just telling you to let the car reach operating temperature before retesting.

test run to Phx yesterday 23 degrees when I left the house but supposed to be 75 to 80 degrees there (sorry to you in the north east) haha, well ran fine on the way down (maybe my wife runs it harder than I do????? heck I only got pull over once!!!) ok to the facts I installed a pressure guage on the fuel rail at idle and cruising reads 25psi at wot reads about 40psi when I was heading back up some pretty good grades at wot psi dropped to 5psi when I let off the gas it would return to 25psi and if I gave more gas it would go up to 40psi until I reached wot for a little bit then it would drop to 5psi again?? what i'm asking is if you think it is the fuel pump because it is temp. related or the tps ??? if so can I clean the tps??? does the tps initate the change of fuel pressure from 25psi to 40psi??? any thoughts??? thanks for any help

The increase in fuel pressure under heavy acceleration is created by a loss of vacuum. If fuel pressure is dropping under WOT then you have a fuel pump failing. The only other possibility is a clogged fuel filter. Most of the time though it is the fuel pump itself.
