haha this is the question that is bugging me bcuz i will be in the market to buy a car pretty soon..what do you guys think?? an EVO IX or a COBRA (03-04)... cobra.. is nastee.. haha i kno that but.... shit.. what do u guys think??

eh, both are very good cars. both are easy to mod, and both have their advantages and disadvantages.
the Evo is so fucking easy and cheap to mod. boost controller, exhaust, tune, 12's are easily attainable, add a few more things to that list(cams, alchy injection, more fuel and boost) and 11's are also easy to do. AWD kicks ass btw, youll outlaunch everything without slicks, and even cars with them. downside is from a roll, the awd drivetrain loss starts to really suck the power after 100ish. but then again you have places like AMS making 800hp and raping cars that were meant to race at higher speeds(like the SCed vette). add to that the power capibilities of the 4g63, able to take 25-30psi with a good tune and laugh at it. the only thing bad about a evo is the clutch, which, due to the stresses of an awd launch and/or driver, goes out pretty quick.
on the other hand you have the cobra. pullies, exhaust, chip and slicks and 11's are within your grasp. the cobra 4.6 rotating assembly can also take quite a bit of boost. though IRS isnt very good for launching, this car is meant for agressive drivers in the turns and freeway fun. and its fucking RWD, which i dont know if you know, but its really fun if you know what youre doing with it.
if it were me, id get the cobra. right now a 03/04 is going to be around the same price as most Evo8's, and a Evo9 is going to cost. the cobra will be around 20-25k depending on condition and mileage, leaving you more money for mods.

hmm.. hard call  . But have owning an Evo8, I must say, Evo. You will fall in love immediatly. Going around corners will be a blast, going in a straight line will be a blast, the community is a blast, the rarity is awesome. Evo

if its CARB legal then yeah. i doubt it is though, not many sc's are, and no turbo kit is.

turbo cobra would be mean. i'd take that over the AMS Evo for fun factor.
