3.8 year interchange

I'm needing to know what the diffrence in the 94 + 97 3.8 engine an if you are able to interchange the 94 into the 97 ?

The thing I would worry about is the engine computer.

Those should be fairly similar. 98 was the odd one before the changes in 99

94 and 97 are very similiar. Changes to note are compression ratio is lower in the 94 and the water jackets are in a place that causes head gaskets to fail. This is fixed mid 96+
