Diablosport Predator Flash Tuner

Has anyone used this on a 3.8 with CAI and Flowmaster 40. I more interested in the effect it has on shifting on a pony with auto transmission. Would changing the the shift points help with performance?

It will help... whether or not it is going to make enough of a difference to be worth the money you spend on just getting that is highly unlikely

I have an sct chip, and my shifts are very very aggressive to say the least. It'll break loose between 1st and 2nd and chirp into 3rd. Move my shift points, etc etc. I love it.

That's what I want ,but can you adjust this on the fly or do you need to reprogram it every time? And do you waste more gas with that SCT chip? |

Actually, something the sponsors have come up with since I got my chip is a 4 stage chip. It has your original tune, plus whatever else you want. I had a friend who got original tune, 87 mpg tune, 87 performance tune, and 93 performance tune. And you can change it on the fly on some cars, but it's recommended you do it with the car off. It comes with a little knob you turn between 4 places for different settings, and install isn't real bad.

well the predator will work great. i have used them alot and like them. and also Diablo has multi-position chips.

Well I wasn't saying they are the only ppl who have them. Just giving some options, a tuner isn't bad if you know what you're doing with it.

I have a predator tuner along with all the simple bolt -ons. Out of everything else that was the most noticeable upgrade. I've had it for a couple years and still works great.

Tuners are nice, but I'm not sure if what Im about to say applies to Diablo's.
I know with the new SCT Tuner if you ever need to change your tune or adjust it, ie your not happy with shifting. You can download the program right onto the tuner through email, then upload it to your car.
Chips you would have to send for a reburn, Ive been charged 75 for a reburn from VMP.

If a customer is not happy with their tune I will reburn (chip) or email them a file (flasher) no charge, but if they are significantly changing the setup and install new mods then there is a charge. However, most simple bolt on mods do not require a new tune.

My tunes will not result in increased fuel consumption, and I include a gas mileage tune that will add 1-2 MPG with all SCT chips or X-cal2s that I sell.
