I was ready to purchase the T-locks, until I went on all ford mustang forums, and some one there said the detroit ones are better, reason there are no discs.
My queastion here is is there any one who is using t-lock or Detroit and what they think of them?
Also is there aby whinny noise? I'm goig to keep the stock gears.

The Detroit true track is stronger than the t-lok.
The t-lok is a good part & will do just fine for the majority

I'm using the Detroit T-Lock. It drives just fine, no noise. Unless you plan on making lots of power, you may not need. If your not sure, go ahead and get a Detroit. If you want, I'll pm you a link to cheap place to get one.

do you plan to drag race the car at the strip? If not then the OEM ford tlok will be perfectly fine.

Hey, ever look into an auburn posi? You can usually get good deals on them and they are stonger than the factoryt-lok.....definalty not as strong as the tru-trac though.

before I went with anything more heavy duty than an oem tlok I would save up and buy an 8.8 rear from the same year set as your car with/with out ABS/traction control so its a simple bolt on.

I need to either rebuild my T-Loc or go with something better. I'm running Falken Azenis tires at autocrosses and I'm one wheel burnning them like nothing. Are the Detroit or Auburn lockers built with enough allowable spin that it wouldn't hurt my tight turning?

Yes they do not technically lock your axles like a locker does. You will be fine in turns and you will still only be powering one wheel until it senses slip, then it will engage both wheels.
