got the roush front mocked in earlier. man was that a fucking breeze. shit i wish the dsm's front end was that easy to take off. 2 screws(one on each inner fender well), 2 bolts on each inner fender cavity, and 2 pop rivets on the top and bottom and it slides out.
i did the side skirts, but realized those are basically no brainers as well, screws on each end of the skirts(in the wheel wells) and the top of the skirt goes where the stock sideskirt pops in, and the bottom same. then looked on how the rear valences mount up, fucking sinch, two screws two pop rivets and some double sided tape along the edges. checked on how the tips will go, and all my exhaust guy has to do is extend the pipes by 4" to meet up with the tips. i wouldve mocked up the side skirts, but i wouldve had to lower the car and raise the rear to get to the inner wheel well screws since theres only about 2" of clearence with the wheels in, and i dont have a stubby phillips stubby enough and didnt feel like bustin out the air wrench.
my dad was like "wow, thats what a roush looks like, i want one too". my mom was like "why dont you just repaint the car like eleanor?" and i was like "well, cause i dont have 1000 bucks to spend on a new paint job" she was like "i think we could loan you the money, cause id love to see that car painted like eleanor". thatd be sick, but im going to get a estimate first on just the kit painted black to match my car, and then another estimate for a full paint job in mineral grey with black stripes and a seperate clearcoat.
i only got to take one pic cause my audiobahn stereo guy came over to see how much of a difference the sub made now that it had caps and was running at 2ohms instead of my 8ohms, then i got sidetracked and forgot to take more pics.

It will be alot more than 1000 bucks for a Elanor like paint job from a nice place.
That looks extremely good though
My first thoughts were, "OMFG SPRINGS" and then I saw the jack

Are you talking about a complete paint job or just the striping?

looking good man...i envy the ease of taking those bumpers off. for taking my fox one off it consists of:
7-8 bolts per side that hold the bumper cover to fender on the inside,
2 in the middle of the header panel that go into the engine bay
2 on the radiator support
1 about each parking light
6 or so under the bumper holding it to the fog light bar
then 2 push pins in the top of the bumper and 14 rivets holding the bumper to the header panel. fun huh? and I might be missing a couple...

eh, theyre just like boring cobra R's IMO. if i was going for a full roush clone look, i wouldnt hesitate, but im going for "not a everyday 99-04" look.
yeah. they quoted me 1200 for repainting the whole car black(since there are a few dings around the car, the hood is chipped in the front from the previous driver commuting, and a 8 foot key mark along the pass side(which i kinda fixed, but its still there). if i were to do the eleanor scheme, easily 2500 after you take into account more prep, more paint(2 colors now, silver base, black stripes), and more emphasis on post-prep. not to mention if i DO go with the whole eleanor theme, ill add in a set of the eleanoresque 1/4 rear window scoop louver thingies.
and if i DO go with a full on eleanor theme, expect some GT500 clone rims as well, and a "go baby go" nitrous button shift knob, with the nitrous system to back it up.
it all rests on if i get hired at my buddy's place tomorrow. ill be making almost triple what i make now. if i get hired there, ill put the kit project on hold till more money is accumulated. if i dont get the job, ill just paint the kit black and be done with it.
