Pioneer has always made good car audio but Alpine is a notch above. hell I have had great success with JVC equipment. But I dont care much for Japanese Speakers, I like Infinity and Polk

Sony use to be top dog but a few years ago they just go to damn big and there quality has suffered

Alpine and Pioneer both have great products but Alpine is far and away the best brand on the market hands down. Talk to any car audio retailer and the'll tell you the same. Just my 2 cents.

i had my pioneer cd player for about 5 years now and its been in 2 cars and is hooked up to subs/amp...and still works perfectly.

I like my Pioneer head unit! It's 10 times fold better than the Sony I had. I've never had alpine... so I'm biased :mrgreen:
