And he was full of himself to. I was just driving around and I went to target and just cruised the parking lot to the place that people usually hang around if they are lookin to race someone, well the reason I went cruising was because I just regapped my spark plugs to .056 from .040 Anyway I went up there and saw a couple civics, so I drove over got out, and sure enough he was the first one to ask me to race. Okay so we find a nice road to do it on... first I just pull up on him going about 40, and he just looks at me and floors it, and im just sitting at 40 like... okay? So I catch up and hes doing 40 again or maybe even a little less, I floor it and he floors it, and he starts to pull...shut down at about 100 and he had 2 cars... I guess he said it was a H22? 2.2L VTEC, he showed me the engine it was probably the biggest 4 cylinder ive ever seen. I cannot wait to get my Kenne Bell... My dad said once one of our houses sell, he'll buy it for me. I guess he said ever since Wilma came through it kind of froze the whole real estate business, he said its been on the market for about 5 months now and he even lowered the price $20,000 grand. And the reason hes going to get it for me is just because im acing school, and not doing any drugs or smoking. I love being a good kid.
Here it is:

And I just had to see what it was gonna look like in my engine bay.

oh well, happens to the best of us. though trust me, that wasnt just a stock h22 swap he did. im sure theres more to the story, cause even a h22 in a civic isnt that fast, maybe a lil faster than a h22 in a lude cause its lighter. im guessing some cams, possible nitrous setup hes not telling you about. its honduh tradition to smoke stockish v8's when they have alot of mods, and tell the v8 guy they just have only this and that to make him feel bad. cause if he told you his full modlist, youd be like "fuck, you spent that much and only had me by 2 cars? honduhs really do suck".

Ya dude I wish he would of told me all the mods he had, now that I think of it, I remember it sounded like he had a big fuckin cam, or maybe he just didnt have a frickin hose going into his throttle body because I remember hearing it, it was like 800 - 1,300 up and down up and down. Anyway yeah lol hondas do suck I strongly agree man... oh well, im not the guy that gets back and says oh well if I would of had this I would of beat you... I just say you beat me, good job. haha.

did it putter at 800 then rise to 1300 then drop down and putter at 800 again?
there used to be a modded silver ex hatch that visited one of our ex-neighbors a while ago(bout 2 years, well before i had my gst). it had a b18 with a gsr head(LS/VTEC), cams, everything. he said he had Hondata, which is why his idle did what i said above.
when i got beat, it usually made me realize i need more mods. when the shittalking nitrous fed 98 slobra talked crap after he beat a stock gst by half a car at 110, i was like "keep talking, i havent even started yet". wish i got his number and went in for a rematch after all was said and done with my 16g setup, wouldve raped him hole, and showed him the reciept, and said, "now you buy 1100 bucks of stuff and see where you get".

Ya I beat a turbod honda at the track once. After we got back to the pits. He was like "what kinda supercharger do you have"? I said none, but I have a nx kit that I didnt use. I told him I only use it against cars that I think are gonna beat me. He didnt like that too much.

yeah, they suck if the person putting the turbo kit together doesnt know jack shit.
when i was stock with the eclipse, i ran a teg with a "stage2 greddy turbo kit"(stage2 meaning it comes with a intercooler, holy shit), it was a plain jane LS motor aside from that. i ran a 15.3 spinning with a 2.6 60ft, he ran a 15.0 with a 2.2 60ft. i wasnt impressed at all, just like i said above "holy shit, you spent that much and it was still that slow?"
then you visit homemadeturbo.com, and theres people slapping together kits and tuning their own shit and doing everything from scratch and having amazing results. whoda thunk that a can of shaving cream could double as intercooler piping(it has the little lips at the end as well, once you cut the ends off). ingenious. buy a cheapo SS autochrome t3/t4 header, the cheapest t3/t4 turbo, some stock dsm 450cc injectors(cheap, cause us dsmers go way bigger) and a resistor box, and some sort of hondata/uberdata honduh tuning shit, and bam. youre running 13's, with easily under 1000 bucks spent. how long it lasts is up to how hard they drive it, or how shitty their tune is, or how much bewst they run on that little honduh motor.
another thing i found, instead of buying closed sleeve blocks(honduh blocks have a cavity between the thin cylinder walls and the block for a coolant jacket, which is why theyre weak), theyre filling the sleeves with a jb-weld like material, and drilling holes through it for the coolant to run through, and having great sucess. 40 bucks to buy a filler as opposed to 800 for a closed block, and the same results. honduh modders that know their shit arent to be fucked with.
