Looking towards the perfomance side of things apposed to flashy, i'm trying to find out what are the lightest style of rims on the market that are suitable for street/strip use? anyone know?
steeda ultralights are pretty light, but 17 inches, I would look into 16 inch rims if you want light duty and track use.

I had steeda ultralites on my 00 GT and they were very light. If you want style with the lightness, they are a great choice.
If you are looking at strictly performance and don't car how they look, look into the various Weld rims like prostars that are out there. They are geared specifically for racing.

weld has them(maybe im kinda partial though at this point), bogart has them but ive read that for everyday driving and whatnot the metal is soft so be careful. centerline has some nice wheels to.
my front wheels w/o tires weigh maybe 20# the 2 15x8s with the old 275/50/15s were still light and easy to carry without even thinking about it.
