depending on where u look.. some shops require would buy you a tranny and install it but it'll cost u.. also u can find some transmissions in other places, eg: junk yard and other places.. and shop around town for shops who wil do it.. but expect to pay atleast 1500.

There are a lot of places on the internet that sell T-5 trannys. I guess you can pay to have it installed but they'll charge you your left leg to do it. I would probably just try and find a 95 thats manual instead.

D@mn just get one with a 5 speed in it. Why spend all that extra money doing a swap when 60-70% of all Gt's have 5 speeds stock!!!!!

do not buy an auto, save up and find a manual. The gts in those years are rather slow... low to mid 15s, the autos nearly 16 second cars if they are raged on ....

jepp cherokee, ford explorer, ford f150 4x4, ranger, dakota, ram, pretty much anything with a 4x4 will get you through the snow.

There's a 96 explorer for sale here on the site by one of our members. Cheap, low miles, decent shape...runs most importantly. 5 speed, 4x4. I'll bet you could work something out with him.
