i am FINALLY getting some new wheels soon, hopefully within the next couple of months, and i pretty much have my mind set on 17" polished cobra r's and i ran across these on ebay and wanted you guys's opinion. what turned me on to these is the fact that they come with 275 tires which is the first i've seen with a wheel/tire package on ebay. check it:

get what you want, do a price check around the internet (such as on AFS's site and oem ford wheels) spend the extra for AFS brand or OEM ford brand for quality.

look fine to me... those tires are ok, theyll last a while but they wont be too sticky with that 340 tread rating.
If i were you, id price out some of those wheels from like mustangtuning.com (they have free shipping on wheels) and then some tires from discounttiredirect.com (also have free shipping) in the 275/40/17 size and see what you come up with.

Heres somethin I put together. Theyre not cobra R's but theyre a sweet wheel and not very expensive.
4 of these: ($129 each = $516 shipped)
http://www.mustangtuning.com/silver-...heel-17x9.html
plus 4 of these: ($97 each = $388)
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...04&rd=17&ar=40
Grand total comes to ~$905. Figure 10-15 bucks a tire for mounting and balancing, so youre lookin at 950-960ish to have those on your car. If you go with the ebay auction youre lookin at $945 for the wheels/tires (already mounted and balanced though) and then another $135 for shipping.
Id try piecing something together personally.
I think that setup would look sweet on a red car. If i did wheels/tires over Id go with the anthracite fr500s

well if they had never been made in 18s we would not be having this conversation, since they are you expect to see them in 18s.

FR500 needs to be 18's imho. I love those wheels though, just they need to be 18's. And deep dished out back of course.

so if i were to buy the rims and tires separately like that, could i just take it to any tire shop and have them mounted even though i didn't buy the tires from them? i wasn't sure how that worked.

Yep you can take them to any shop to get mounted, I work at the wal mart auto center and to get 4 tires mounted and balanced your lookin at about $45 bucks, plus you get a free lifetime rotation and balances:thumbs2:
