brakes squeal

I had my brakes changed by a ford dealer around 3 weeks ago.. my car has 25kmiles and yet after having the brakes changed they still squeal really badly. Could the problem be the rotors/? If so how much does re-surfacing of rotors normally cost? |

Rotor brakes squeal...it's part of it. You can try using some anti-squeal compound to see if that will fix it. The only way I'd have my rotors turned is if you have pits or stuff in them that you can see/feel easily.

they all squeel, the key is knowing a good one from a bad one. It may be metal on metal thats not brake pad/rotor related... i would get them to check it again just to make sure, and you be there next to them while they do incase they half ass it.

All brake jobs should include rotor resurfacing. If you just replace the pads, the pads will wear unevenly and more than likely they will squeel.
If it's just a little squeek at the very end of the stop, then you got cheap pads. Cheap pads always seem to squeak.

If they are sqeeking then they are not not squeeking which we all know leads to something bad.. im sure... so thats all about making since, which we should and never open soup with out. The name of the game is *********ing after all!
