I'm curious to see what kind of 5.0s we have here..
What kind of looks/performance parts you guys have.. Auto or Manual?
High mileage road warrior (keeps going and going and going?) or low mileage cream puff?
If you have a pic or two, throw 'em up!

Hmmm.
My situation isnt what youre looking for.
87 Thunderbird, 3.8L/AOD, will be recieving:
88 5.0 shortblock from an 88 cougar
89 Mustang E7TE's
88 Mustang cam
90 Lincoln LSC upper intake, TB, EGR spacer, injectors
87 Mustang EEC
Im going mildly port the heads, mostly getting rid of the thermactor humps in the exhaust ports, and possibly just cleaning up the ports a little. Ill install some trick flow valve springs while im in there, since i have them. I have long tube headers for it, but its going to get shorties due to the k-member brace im going to buy for it. It will recieve a superchip module, since i have one laying around. I have a wiring harness hanging in the basement for it, which ive thinned out quite a bit, but there is still much more to take out of it.
The rest of the car will be recieving more mods than i even want to think about listing.

1990 Oxford White LX Hatchback here. Bought it with 17k original miles on the body. Unfortunately, probably at least half of these miles were down a drag strip. So while the 17k miles sounds really nice, the car was fairly rough. I imagine the frame is at least slightly twisted. I've heard it ran mid-low 6's in the 1/8th back in its glory days.
When I got it, it had been stripped a good bit. The car had no motor, tranny, a lot of wiring was missing, a hole in the hatch for a fuel cell, etc etc etc. I had just totalled a Bright Red '91 GT Convertible that I was in the process of collecting parts for a HCI install and bottom-end refresh. In fact, I totalled it the day after I got my AFR 165's in (which I had been waiting on for over 3 months). After about a month or so of work, my dad and I had everything swapped from the convertible to the LX, along with the freshly built motor.
I just hit 40k miles on it the other day, so I've had it for 23k miles worth now. I'm not gonna list everything I have done to it (there's not many stock parts left... ), but you can click the link in my sig and check out my garage which has all that stuff. Basically it's your average mild AFR 302 combo, built more for street duty than track performance.
Unfortunately, I may have to sell it soon to help finance an 03-04 Cobra... Damn SpectorV and his bad influences!
I'm gonna hate to see it go.

1990 LX Mustang
Miles : either 77,000 or 177,000, It runs like it has 77,000...but you know the 5.0s they always trick ya. I haven't really done anything performance wise to it because I just got a job last week so im starting to save up... but the things ive done to it so far :
.2 Pillar Pod Gauges Autometer Ultra-lites Pro-comp OIL PRESS and WATER TEMP
.Replaced the driver side window ( I shattered it )
.Fixed the passenger side door lock
.New light bulbs for the whole 6 clear light assembly
And thats just about all ive done to it myself. Since I got a job now im going to start saving up for some bolt-ons, as of right now the engine is bone stock other then the timing advanced a couple degrees.
I've had the car for almost 2 years now and not one thing wrong with the motor or really anything for that matter... people always going around sayin my ford is always in the shop blah blah blah... bullshit.
Haha but anyway thats how my foxy is sitting as of right now... im think im gonna nickname my car the Toad Squasher.

95 Gt Rio Red
5 spd
I bought it about a year ago with 55,555...now it has almost 63,000. The previous owner was the original owner and the only thing he did was put 3.73 gears in it. Now i have Mac cold air intake, Ford Racing 9mm plug wires, hurst shirt throw shifter with billet knob, alpine head unit with 10" sub, bbk equal length ceramic coated shorty headers, pypes x pipe with mini cats, slp loudmouth cat back. This summer im doing sub frame connectors, caster/camber plates and lowering springs. The following summer im buying tires and wheels 17x9 for the front 17x10.5 out back. After that, ill be getting out of college and ill be saving up to build a supercharged 347 stroker, rebulding the T5 to make it stronger with clutch, and do fuel pump for engine. Hopefully i wont break axles or ill be replacing them as well.

MonteCitan,
Car is driven to and from work everyday. Once a month, driven to car show about 20 miles away. I don't drive it in the rain because of the spool rearend.
It gets about 8-9 miles per gallon!!!!

Yes, I get a lot of comments. The car has a sick idle and is somewhat loud. The externally mounted fuel press., N2O press. and N2O fuel gages cause some double takes as well. Car has 4" cowl hood and dark tint all around. The skinnies on the front and drag radials on the rear also draw attention.

not a problem at all. thought about putting a bottle into my 90, what are your thoughts of a dry 100 shot for a lil boost in power? I dont wanna go to serious with it, just for an occasional trip to the track so I figured dry would be a better bet for cost an whatnot. but isnt a wet shot safer all around?

Mine is an '88 T-Bird now with a Mustang GT 5.0 H.O.,Explorer intake,Locker rear with 3.55 gears,Mustang headers and h-pipe,Mustang seats,Cougar dash and console. On the work bench ready for installation are GT40 heads,1 5/8 shorty headers,65mm throttlebody and spacer, tranny cooler, fuel pump, and an off road h-pipe on the way. Those pieces are my spring break activities while the kids are out of school (plus, the kids are cheap labor, lol).

I have nvere used "dry shot." I ran 90 shot (wet) on my '99 L and had no problems. As long as the tune is right, I am sure that you'll be okay. My son has a '87 coupe that he is installing a 125 shot but again it'll be wet. I know of people who use dry shots with no problems. Make sure car is tuned for it!!!
