I found a targa top *drop top* for the mustang. It is 1700 dollars, for the kit, about how much woul dit cost to get it installed and where/what would be a reputable body shop in the baton rouge area.
This is a pretty badass system, and respond if you want to see pictures of it. Im really anxious about getting it but not sure how it would seat on the car.

Some people that have had them for a while have problems with body integrity because an uninterupted rooflline is more integral to body stability than most people realize (I.E. after a period of time, the gaps change and the intial seal becomes totally changed and you get weird body sway and leaks). I imagine it would cost around $1,000 for something like that. IDK though.

you would need to tighten up the frame with full length sub frames (welded in) and a few other little boosts before you should do this. In the end it will look goofy and ruin the car... buy a convertable or leave it as is.

Hmm...after looking at pics, I am not so sure on this. Might be because it is such a new concept to me...but I am just not sure....

I've honestly heard nothing but problems from people who have had them for over 3 months.

Damn...I must be waaaay out of the loop. Everyone in here has heard nothing but bad things about these...and I have never heard of the concept until he called me this morning to ask me about a shop around here. Guess it is time for me to get out a little or something.

Yeh...I've looked at them before..the only way I'd do one of those is if I put a full roll cage system in it for integrity purposes. I have a friend who had a sunroof installed in his 01 before he bought it, and you can feel the body flex with just a sunroof installed.
