i only ask this cause my buddy works at kia and some old guy wanted a kia rio for a commuter car. he traded in a silver 99 v6 with 113k miles for $1400. yes that is $1,400 dollars. he mustve been really dum or really old. well anyways the thing is that emplyees can buy a car for themselves at 500$ over what the dealer paid for it which would be about $2100 bucks.
well i thought he was bs' ing me like usual and so i was gonna call his bluff and i went to go see it. it was ok it had a quater-sixed dent in the rear bumper and a cracked windsheild. i didnt get to drive it till friday cause the big boss guy wasnt there. so friday comes, i drive it. MAN this little v6 pulls harder than my 4.6 on my bird. so im really pumped. now the kia maneger is being a punk and wants to sell it for 9k and make 7,600 profit on it. my buddy is gonna try to talk to the regional manager on getting it for 3 so they still make a good 1600 profit.
i also wanna know if there are any annoying problems with these cars. my freind has a 89 stang and so did my dad and there are various things that tend to annoy people(the ashtray lid breaking, door handles breaking, heater cores, ECT) cause i work at a resturant as a waiter and i wanna good reliable car(unlike the tbird that dies at stops and neither ford or a tranny place can figure out why) and i want a car i can make go fast.
i am getting sooooo sick of rice being on street when it should be in a bowl in japan. if i do get this stang its gonna be a total rice eater. prolly get the black widow bk for it and paint it yellow to fit in, then get a built engine and supercharger from extreme effects and some 4.10 gears cause i guess the 99+ stangs have 3.73 already. that should run a good 13.5 which is what most super street rice run down here in the valley. also does anyone have some good rims(not cobra r's cause everyone has them on their ford) that would look good too?
any input will be much apprecated. btw sellin the tbird for 5,500 if anyone wants it, still owe parents 4,500 on it so if ya want email me for more info

My friend bought a 1999 V6 Mustang 5-speed, with some minor dents on the body for like $9,000 +/-
If I ran accross a deal like $2,100 - I'd take it in a heart beat

Going price for an average '99 v6 is about 9,500$-11,000$ i'd say from what i've seen.
Jump on the deal. Fix it up, sell it. (Or drive it)
If you don't get it for some reason, myself and another guy would love to jump on it and turn her into a track only project car.

a car like that should not be that cheap... somethings gotta be up. I wouldnt buy it personally.

but a 1999 car with that many miles still shouldnt be that low... its a Mustang too. There has got to be some problems with it. But fucked if i know...
i'd just check that car out ######## before i dropped any money on it.

no the guy who traded it in was a 70 year old man who used it to commute, thus high mileage. dont know why he gave it up for only 1400 though he is old and dumb and he really wanted a kia spectra so he signed the deal and gave up his stang. i test drove it already it pulls pretty good all the way to redline, it can take my tbird as it is and i got a v8 in the bird. i even got it to chirp into 3rd so its pretty strong. i will know by tonight if i can get it or not, so keep yall posted.
