Well I got a V6 tonight... its a 2000 with 81,000 miles... performance red, really really nice mustang for 6,900$, its also leather... But ill take pictures of it tomorrow its to late tonight... anyway.. I have to change the oil and I know how and all.. only I heard that after you put your new oil in... to crank the car but dont let it turn over for it to spurt some oil into the cylinders and pistons so it has some oil when it starts up... is this true or not? because I have noticed that it takes at least 3 to 4 seconds for the oil pressure to go up after I have changed my oil... just thought maybe it could be a better idea?
Thanks! and ill take pics tomorrow.

Hm...I've never done that...I onno man. Your engine still has oil on the components of the engine even after draining it..

ive changed the oil and ive never heard anything about that and my car is fine, so if its true i have to change my way of changing my oil, but im also thinking about redoing all the fluids, oil, differential fluid, coolant, so basically a tune up, but also thinking about getting an msd ignition but probably will hold off until i know what i will be doing down the road, love to see some picks or your new stag.. auto or manual

Whenever I change my oil, I fill the filter all they way (out of a five quart jug), fill the oil fill with the rest of it, back it off the ramps, check the level, and then add if necessary.
(I had some nonesense, check the ramps? WTF self?)

And just for the record, there's no point in getting a new ignition system for your v6, will do you no good for the money.

i always just run mine for about a minute after it's off the jacks and everything. no revving or anything, just let it circulate.
I have no reason for this, I just do it.

When you change oil it will take a second or so for the oil pressure to read but that does not mean oil is not moving in the system. Just turn on the car and let it idle for a minute and that is all you have to do.
MSD ignitions are a waste on V6 and V8 cars with coil packs. The whole need for the ignition boxes were for cars with distributor where there was a need for the boxes do to poor distributor performance. There is a loss of spark energy inherent to the design of most distributors.

change that tranny fluid as well its probably never been touched... same for coolant and rear end along with fuel filter. Get it all out of the way.

I checked the fluids before I even thought about buying it and the coolant looks, smells good as well as the tranny fluid, but ill change that rear end fluid over the weekend... is there a bolt on the rear end or would I have to unbolt the rear end and drain it like that? and what kind of oil should I get for it? anda bout the fuel filter, would I have to do anything to depressureize the fuel system or do I just change it out normally?

I wouldn't worry about. Even when you drain the oil, you don't get absolutely all the oil out of the engine. There's enough left in there to lubricate everything for those coupe of seconds that it takes to build up some pressure. Now I wouldn't recommend cranking it and immediately revving it to 7 grand. That could possibly cause some problems.
