Welcome,
MAC is the only manufacturer that makes them for the V6 Mustang

there are many other mods that are more worth while to do first and v6's with no cats sound pretty nasty.

uhmm i got a mAC cai, asp underdrive pulleys, just did a suspension mod (kyb shocks/stuts, eibach pro springs, MM CC's, summit controller arms. I'm doing headers xpipe and gears/differential.
so mac has long tube headers? all i seen were shorty headers n i think i saw a sight with long tube headers for v6's but not for a 98 or it was 95-04 but wouldnt fit a 98 stang?? can custom ones be madE?

your stock headers are fine to 300 hp, just get a cat back with a pace setter adapter.
gears and diff is a good move though, svae the money from headers and get a tune.

what does a pace setter adapter do? I have flowmaster cat backs with 3" tips.
I'm trying to get the gears/diff., xpipe, tuner, and headers all at once before i go to ports/polished forged internals stage =P

The Pacesetter was a weld-in dual exhaust adapter that had an "H" style
crossover. (It may have clamped in too.) It was the first one out that I
remember, good unit. If you already have "true" or real duals (no "Y" pipe)
then you do not need it, just add a crossover if you are so inclined. At low
power levels it is just to modify the sound mostly, but if you are pushing
some serious power as you will be in the future, it can actually help power
thru a given pipe size. It's best (IMO) to have a slightly smaller set of duals
and a crossover than bigger duals without one. More even exhaust flow and
better velocity, but it all needs sized for the BHP production of the engine.
I'm gonna keep the 2.25" w/pacesetter I have for now, and then make the
jump to a 2.5" Campbell ASC exhaust. It will be a tad large in the short run
but I'm planning a REAL stroker for the next setup, a 4.6L V6
and it will truly be a world class V6. Probably close to 400 BHP and well
over 300 RWHP. 2.5" duals are good to 400 BHP.
