ya thats were I put it on my brothers Sunfire. I was thinking about mounting the antenna on the rear shelf behind the back seat, and mounting the tuner box under the back seat.

They recommend putting it on the highest point on the car...I normally mount them where meteorachick has hers, but I have mounted them on the trunk before. I wouldn't recommend putting it on the back shelf however, I don't think it'll pick up there very well.

That's the only reason I haven't gotten that yet, because I don't want the antenna out in the open.

My CD player is Sirius ready, but I still don't want the "wart" on the roof.
Mom and Dad have XM in the Avalanche, it's very nice.

i think it looks fine, when u see the car, it just blends in, no one really knows that its there, in fact, i've had people ask me where mine was, and they were kinda shocked to see it there cause they didn't see it

kinda sticks out on the roof to me ..maybe on a darker color it'd look better. Some people mount it on the rear interior panel by the rear window.

So the antenna was actually on the inside? How good was the reception and how easy was it to lose reception?

reception was fine... only time i ever lost reception was when anyone else would... around tall buildings, in a garage, under large trees, etc.
It was fine, it didnt look stupid on my roof and never gave me problems

Well, I just got an XM subscription for my birthday, so I guess I'll be figuring out where to put all that stuff now. I thought about putting the antenna on the inside near the top of either the windshield or the back window. I may put the receiver holder in the glove box.

I believe I'm going to be putting the antenna on the inside on the dash board close to the FM antenna, and use the vent clip for the reciever. I just dont know what to do about the power wire...the antenna wire wont be a problem but I don't no where to hide the power wire when it's not hooked up because I don't think it's long enough to go from my arm rest lighter, under all the trim, and up to the vent I want to use.
My deck was Sirius ready and I would kind of preferred that, but the folks already had a XM subscription and it's cheaper to get another receiver added on to an existing account rather than get a new company. But it was free so I'm certainly not complaining. I've already got it hooked up in my room and it is very nice.
