I was thinking of also buyin a smoke tint for my headlights, how much would that affect my visibility at night with my headlights if i darken then with a smoke tint?

I would not suggest tinting headlights, especially not any darker than the 02+ headlights are.
Depending on how dark you make the tint, you may be able to see fine at night or not at all.
I have blackout headlight covers, and I like them. Inconvenient at times, but they look better to me when on.

Yeh, I would seriously advise against tinting your headlights in any way shape fashion or form. I also have headlight blackouts I run on road trips to protect my headlights.

Whats wrong with tinted taillights ?? I used the tint kit from autobadges & have no problem !! You can see the taillights from 200 ft away

you should really make sure though cuz if another cop pulls you over just telling him so and so said they were legal wont cut it. Yea our laws suck.

What the big thing i need to know is how much will it affect my headlights at night? i know for a fact tinted tails are legal in IL, and i know the smoke tint wont affect my lights, i just want to know will there be a dramatic decrease in visibility?

Sorry !! We sometime get off subject. How much it will affect your headlights depends on the tint .

Yeh, you could get away with a light tint without losing much of your visibility.
