Are those a real street tire, or a track only tire?

These ones?

very nice mine had 275/50 BFGs on it when I got it but they were beyond shot, I put on just regular street tires for now. 255/60/R15's just worried about the treadlife of those you bought...approx how many miles can you get out of them? ( without burnouts at the track )

5000 give or take including track time.. they will be bald (and hence best for racing) within 2-3 months
how did you fit 275s on yours?? my 255s almost rub on the suspension and exhaust..

5000...which is why I wont be buying any drag radials lol.
the drivers side rubbed the inner fender a lil but the pass. side was fine. Previous owner beat the living shit out of the poor quad shocks and the backspacing on my wheels is prally different then yours so that helps to. 15x8 with 5.5" backspacing. It has to be your backspacing, your wheel wells are bigger then mine since 91-93 got the 16" ponies.

Thank you Patrick Bedard
bane : nittos = better traction than a normal street tire.. and the ones on my '02 GT had about 12k miles on them, probably 30 track passes on those tires as well.. and they still had enough tread to not hydroplane too badly in the rain.. I'd estimate 15k miles on those.. 555r's..

15k miles isnt to bad...only reason i went with regular street tires is I needed some cheap tires to put on to get it inspected.

id just get the expensive ones out back and some cheapies up front with a super long tread life to make up for it. replace the rears once a year or so isnt that bad, seeing the flogging theyll prolly take.
