well, im thinking of getting a couple subs. i think ive decided on Infinity Kappa Perfects (2x12"s) thinking of a Kenwood Excelon amp. is that a good amp? is this a good price and watts. the perfects can do 350watts RMS
subs: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3046732004&category=48614
amp: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3046782590&category=39734
i have the mach system but with a pioneer head unit. would this sound okay? i want good bass that sounds good. i dont need any compitition subs as i just want to turn it up occasionally, but i dont want distortion.

you do know thats 129.99 per sub right?
Way over priced if you ask me.
The kenwood amps is over priced as well.
give me a second and I will put together a system for less than that that is much better.

arent kicker's supposed to be square? or is this their competition series?
and the inifinity has a rating of 18Hz+ while hte kicker is 25Hz+
also the dB rating is 96 on the infinity and 86.4 on the kicker? what does that mean anyway?

Thats their Solobaric (sp) system. My kickers have always been circular.
BTW... if you dont like the system, I'll buy it off of you.

The DB rating you want it to be lower for subs and higher for Full range speakers such as 5x7's
Usually the higher the db a sub is the higher frequency that it will play which is useless because subs usually dont play anything over 100 hz

actually on 3.8 i posted the same question, and someone gave me a link to Elemental Designs e12a and i read some reviews of that and it seems to be one of the best out there, so i think imma get one of those instead of 12 kickers or type r's or whatever. then eventually, get another one

well if you are going for a decent priced system with good sound, planet audio. Thats what I have right now and have been very pleased with it.

You have two twelve inch comps or two 12" compVR's?
IF you have VR's then you must have a crappy ass amp on them cause my 1 ten CompVR hits harder than some good twelves.
If you just have reg. Comps they are the lowest end speaker Kicker makes.
Type R's are the highest end speaker Alpine makes.
So your comparing apples to oranges
