Well when I play guildwars it will freeze, sometimes it will come back other times it will require a hard restart. Last night I recieved a hardware failure blue screen.
About 2 months ago this started, I droped the clock to 200x11 vcore 1.725 (was lower bumped it up to see if it helped) and 2.7 vdimm, even lower to see and still the same effects, ive primed the system to 100% stable for a long ass time so i dont feel its the clock setting doing it.
I have just updated the drivers for the vid card to see if it helped, didnt freeze but for a sec then worked fine, I didnt play much though so I didnt test it.
What can I do to fix it. Im going to uninstall/reinstall the game tonight, it seems to ONLY do it while playing the game any tips would be appreciated.

After your reinstall, try it with backed off clocks. Just 'cause it's Prime95 stable, doesn't gaurantee that it'll be stable with another program.

I believe it has something to do with the instability of Athlon processors. They're too slow at "stock" settings, and when you try to overclock them... stuff like this happens. My advice is to go spend a little money on a nice Pentium 4.
Of course, I could just be being sarcastic in order to give you a hard time.

Could be memory, processor , just by saying hardware, but do you have a way to check the memory??, or does the game require loads of memory compared to what you have??, just guessing at something

It really sounds to me that you've got it pushed too far.

its been fine for 2 years nearly~ and Ive turned the clock WAY down and it still does it.
My clock currently is 200x11 (1.725 vcore 2.7vdimm)
it was 190x10 still did it... if it was the hardware prime would have caught it I think.

Blue Screens under XP are signs of serious errors. If something's really junked up in the OS, that might be able to cause it. You should start eliminating variables. Might want to reformat and reinstall.

im guessing its memory/motherboard. my reasoning is because it only happens when you play guild wars?
PS: my friend is getting me guild wars for free or something so i might see you in there if you get your problem fixed.

If you don't care about it being super fast...run everything at stock clocks. That's what I do.
