whats the best bang for your buck SC kit out there, and whats the best one that can outlast many power goals? are they carb/50 state legal(yeah cali, i know......)
break them down people, we got......
Vortech
Vortech 6-8Psi Base kit - 3,649.95(satin finish)
Vortech 9-10psi Upper Kit - $4,695.95(with aftercooler)
can you go from 6-8psi to 9-10psi with the change of a pulley, or does more boost need a bigger SC?
50 State Legal
Paxton
NOVI 1000 Kit - $4,144.95
NOVI 2000 Tuner Kit (Just the SC im guessing) - 4,876.95(with aftercooler)
50 State Legal
Procharger
8 psi w/ P600B or P-1SC, 55-60% increase, 2 Core IC/AC - Price not Shown
10-12psi w/ P-1SC, 60-80% increase, 3 Core IC/AC - Price not Shown
50 State Legal
Kenne Bell
1.7L Kit, with a chip, injectors, boost-a-pump(fuel pump im guessing), bypass valve. though says 6-14psi kit is not 50 state legal, so.... 4899 for the intercooled version.
50 State Legall
Powerdyne
8psi kit, 45-50% increase - $4,535.82
49 State Legal(meaning im in the one that isnt)
am i missing any? whipple doesnt make any pre 05 apps except for a 03/04 cobra upgrade kit.

dont go powerdyne they are known to grenade. Go procharger or vortech for that style of blower. You are looking at 4-5k so why not save a bit more and go with a hellion turbo kit

^^i remember the issues you had with yours and the guy screwing you over. i dont want to go through that.
and Spec, dude you know better. i live in cali, just about any aftermarket turbo kit is illegal. only mad tyte street racers use turbos, thusly why theyre illegal.

looking back on it, I would have gotten a great deal if I had been patient and not sent the extra money order....
Your in Cali, there are probably lots of used blower kits floating around that you could go take a look at

Get a p1sc with a 3 core interooler.
The paxton is too big (not useful till you have a built engine) unless you're talking Novi 1000, kb is too expensive, powerdyne is crap.
Voretech or procharger.

Go with Procharger! They make a lot more power than Vortech for the same or less $ and you get an intercooler! In fact depending on applications they make the best power of all! Powerdyne is crap, stay away!

KB is the best for great power from 1500 rpm to redline. However some say that constant boost stresses internals. That's where ATI Prochargers come in because boost builds with RPM.
Screw it, I'm going KB.
