Rear mounted turbo?

Someone help me out here. Squires turbo make a case for themselves (of course), but they make it seem like it has the benefits of a turbo and a supercharger in one rear mounted system. Is this too good to be true, nothing special, or just plain crap?

Looking through the site, the kits appear to be very professionaly made. Very bolt onish with most of the things you need (if you get the upgrades). Expect to pay out the anus tho.

These systems work but they rely on a pump for the oil and the pumps are prone to fail.

It's most likely for the drain back. It should use the engine oil pump to send oil to the turbo, but because the turbo sits lower than the oil pan the drain back must be moved with a pump, because gravity feed wouldn't work.

Yes the engine pump pumps it to the turbo, and then gravity feeds it back to the oil pan on most. But since that is a remote, it would require a pump to get it back to the pan.

all electric pumps are prone to failure The STS remote turbo utilizes the oil pump in the oil pan to send oil to the turbine unit. A pump then pressurizes the oil to return to the pan.
